2024 Nissan X-Trail teased again ahead of launch

Nissan is preparing to launch the fourth-generation X-Trail in India, with a new teaser now released. The X-Trail, which has been available internationally since 2021, is set to bring its dynamic features to the Indian market.

Under the hood, the X-Trail is expected to feature a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, generating 201bhp of power and 305Nm of torque. This engine will be paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). There is also speculation about whether Nissan will introduce an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant or the e-Power hybrid version showcased previously in India. The hybrid model boasts a 1.5-litre petrol engine coupled with two electric motors, one on each axle, enhancing its performance and efficiency.

The teaser suggests that the Indian version of the X-Trail will retain its international design, with no significant cosmetic changes. It will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU), maintaining its original build quality. Once launched, the X-Trail will compete primarily with the Skoda Kodiaq, which is also anticipated to receive an update soon.
