2025 Hyundai Bayon mini SUV gets more features and a new design
Hyundai’s global mini SUV, the Bayon, has undergone updates for the 2025 model year, featuring a refreshed design, enhanced connectivity and safety features, and interior modifications. Positioned below Hyundai’s Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, and the Nexo in global markets, the Bayon is not currently slated for introduction in India.
The Bayon’s new design incorporates Hyundai’s latest family look, tailored for the small SUV category in the European market. Noteworthy changes include a DRL bar integrated to form a horizontal light signature akin to the Verna. The front bumper and radiator grille have undergone shape modifications, and the rear sports a redesigned bumper. Additionally, the vehicle boasts newly designed 16 and 17-inch wheels.
Inside, the Bayon now offers Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates, a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a separate 10.25-inch infotainment display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charging, and the updated Hyundai Bluelink telematics. The interior features two USB-C ports (front and rear), LED technology replacing light bulbs for enhanced in-car illumination, optional LED room/map and sunvisor lamps, and multicolor front ambient lighting.
In terms of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the 2025 Bayon incorporates lane following assist (LFA), forward collision-avoidance assist (FCA) with detection for cars, pedestrians, and cyclists, junction turning, and navigation-based cruise control (NSCC) using navigation data for autonomous speed adjustments on highways. Other ADAS features include blind-spot collision avoidance, driver attention warning, and lead vehicle departure alert.
While Hyundai India currently has no plans to introduce the Bayon, it already boasts an extensive SUV lineup in the country, featuring models like the Venue, Creta, Alcazar, and Tucson.
