2025 MG ZS (Astor) makes global debut

MG Motor has officially unveiled the all-new ZS in the international market, showcasing a significant 2025 update that introduces numerous changes to both the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Globally, the ZS is being launched as the Hybrid+, while in India, it is available in two versions: the all-electric ZS EV and the Astor, which features an internal combustion engine (ICE).

Starting with the exterior, the new ZS sports a more aggressive front design, featuring a redesigned large grille, wider and vertically oriented air dams, a full-width light bar connecting the headlamp cluster that includes sleek LED DRLs, and a repositioned MG logo now situated on the bonnet.

The side profile remains largely similar to the previous version, with a slightly updated alloy wheel design. At the rear, the all-new ZS—or the Astor, as it is known in some markets—boasts a refreshed bumper with a split design and redesigned taillamps. Additional design highlights include a repositioned brand logo on the tailgate, an extended rear spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, a rear wiper, and a silver faux pattern resembling dual exhaust outlets.

Inside the cabin, the updates are more pronounced, with a new dashboard layout featuring a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, reshaped AC vents, a new steering wheel, a seven-inch digital instrument panel, and a redesigned center console with a new gear lever. The ZS Hybrid+ is packed with features such as wireless smartphone connectivity, an ADAS suite, a wireless charger, a Type-C charging port, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and a wireless charger.

Under the hood, the MG ZS Hybrid+ is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Together, they produce a combined output of 192bhp, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 8.7 seconds.
