The digital facelift of the 2023 Tata Nexon Dark Edition has been unveiled by digital automobile artists. Nexon is a popular compact SUV that has been ruling the sales charts for a long time now. It gained prominence after securing the title of the first Made-in-India vehicle to score a full 5-star safety rating at GNCAP. It has enjoyed unparalleled success ever since. There are various colours tested by the designer but the one that caught our eye is black. it contains subtle modifications which is the way it is in the real world as well. Facelifts always bear slight aesthetic changes. The front section consists of sleek LED DRLs and a slimmer grille area flanked by headlamps mounted on the bumper.
In addition, there is a huge grille down below with Tata’s signature tri-arrow motifs and a rugged skid plate underneath to accentuate the rugged stance. On the sides, the most prominent aspects include stylish alloy wheels, black side body cladding, black side pillars, a distinct strip on the lower half of the window panel and black ORVMs. All in all, there are enough alterations to make it qualify as a facelift.
Specs
In terms of specifications, the Dark Edition model carries the same powertrains as the regular version. This means that there will be a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel on offer developing 120 PS / 170 Nm and 115 PS / 260 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The transmission options include a 6-speed MT or an AMT automatic. In the current version, the Dark Edition models start from Rs 10.80 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 14.35 lakh, ex-showroom.
