Kabira KM 3000 and KM 4000 To Get Top-spec Pro variants
Kabira Mobility has just revealed the details of the KM 5000, its flagship electric bike boasting unheard-of numbers. However, it also showed off two ‘veiled’ concepts – the KM 3000 Pro and KM 4000 Pro – during the aforementioned presentation. So what will they be? Let’s find out.
Starting with the basics, Kabira has claimed a 140kmph top speed and 176km range, and 160km top speed and 203km range, from the KM 3000 Pro and KM 4000 Pro respectively. This is a big bump from their standard variants. For reference, while the standard KM 3000 has a claimed top speed of 100kmph and a range of 120km, the standard KM 4000 has a claimed top speed of 120kmph and range of 150km.
Moving on, we believe the Pro versions of both bikes will share their basic design (though the finer details may be reworked) and underpinnings with the regular models. So while the KM 3000 will be a faired bike, the KM 4000 will be a naked roadster. Further, suspension and braking components – dual discs up front and a single unit at the rear – may also remain unchanged, though we expect the Pro variants to get ABS instead of the standard bikes’ CBS.
Kabira’s ‘Pro’ duo will likely be unveiled by March 2024, and will likely be priced around Rs 30,000 more than the respective models. That said, with the proposed revision of the FAME 2 subsidies, their prices could climb further. Once here, their closest rival will compete with the Tork Kratos.
