Tata Motors unveils the E-Vision Concept, an electric sedan, showing its pace on the move to electric power for its vehicles
Tata Motors teased the car world with an upcoming sedan concept to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show last week. And, they’ve finally taken wraps off it.
Behold, The E-Vision Concept.
After giving us the preview of the H5X and 45X concept at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018 last month, this is Tata’s latest enveil of the third vehicle that gets the looks from the Impact Design 2.0 design language.
Highlights of the design start at what Tata has named as the Humanity Line , that gets a brushed aluminium treatment and runs through the entire width of the front facia. The Humanity Line highlights the headlights, which, according to Tata, ‘are themselves treated as pieces of high tech jewelery’. Lasers, matrix, what is it, eh Tata? Time will tell.
The DLOs get a brushed aluminium highlight as well, starting at the A-Pillar upto the C-Pillar. This insert gives the side profile a visual effect of sitting lower.
The rear is also highlighted by a crease that starts at the Tata logo at the centre. merges into the animated tail lights and further runs neatly into the side profile.
Any performance figures?
Yes, there are! Here are the numbers:
- 0-100kmph : sub 7-sec
- Top speed : 200kmph
This sedan will be built on Omega Architecture, on which all of Tata’s future vehicles will be built.
Future looks good, must I say.
