The Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is here
Bentley has recently launched the Bentyaga Hybrid and this one is the first Hybrid ever built form the heavyweight luxury car manufacturer. We are here to tell you about the specs and design about the all-new Bentyaga Hybrid. The Bentyaga Hybrid marks the company’s first step towards electrification. The plug-in model racks up a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 and is said to go up to speeds of only 50 kmph on electric power according to the NEDC range test. The 2019 Bentley Bentyaga Hybrid comes with a plug-in power dock made from sustainable materials and designed by the French designer and frequent Bentley Customer Phillipe Strack. The huge SUV uses two power sources a 3.0-litre V6 power mill and an electric motor.
The Bentyaga Hybrid is the fourth car in the SUV range, joining the V8 petrol and diesel and also the W12 petrol. The electric battery can be recharged in between 2.5 and 7.5 hours and has an all-electric range of 31 miles. This Hybrid version of the luxurious SUV will be the company’s most efficient model ever with CO2 emissions of just 75 g/km (NEDC). The Bentyaga Hybrid is the company’s first step on the road to electrification, combining traditional Bentley values with the very up-to-the-minute technologies.
The SUV gets new EV driving modes replacing the Automatic Start-Stop switch- which are EV Drive, Hybrid mode and Hold mode. What these modes do is they allow the driver to manage the battery and charge while on the road. To accommodate these new driving modes the infotainment screen has now been revised. The traditional tachometer that displays engine speed is replaced with a dial showing when the car is operating in pure EV Drive, or engine speed if the combustion engine is operating. A battery status dial replaces the coolant temperature gauge.
The SUV gives the customers the best of both the worlds -engaging, effortless performance on the open road and silent emission-free driving in the city, which is becoming quite important with the ever-changing regulations around the world.
