MG Motor India has decided to mark its centenary celebration by revising the prices across its entire lineup in the country. In particular, the Comet EV stands out with a noteworthy price reduction of Rs. 1 lakh. Consequently, the starting price for the all-electric car now stands at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
For potential buyers, the MG Comet EV is available in three distinct trim levels: Pace, Play, and Plus. While the pricing for the entry-level Pace variant has been disclosed, the updated prices for the other two variants are still pending.
Under the hood of the Comet EV is a 17.3kWh battery unit that requires seven hours for a full charge. This battery powers a single motor calibrated to generate 41bhp and 110Nm of torque, delivering an asserted driving range of 230km on a single charge. It’s worth noting that the Comet EV excelled in our range test, achieving an impressive real-world driving range of 191km.
