Mahindra, the renowned Indian automaker, introduces the ‘Earth Edition’ of its rugged off-roader, the Thar, with prices starting at Rs. 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Sporting a new ‘Desert Fury’ colorway with a satin matte finish, the SUV boasts dune-inspired decals, silver-finished alloy wheels, and unique ‘Earth Edition’ badges. Inside, the Thar Earth Edition features a dual-tone black and beige theme, complemented by desert-themed graphics on the headrests.
Additionally, the cabin is accentuated with ‘Desert Fury’ colored inserts on the AC vents, center console, and steering wheel. Each Thar Earth Edition will also receive a unique decorative VIN plate with a serial number starting from ‘1’. Furthermore, the special edition Thar comes with various accessories including custom front and rear armrests, 7D floor mats, and a comfort kit.
Under the hood, the Mahindra Thar Earth Edition offers two engine options – a 2.0-liter petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, both available with either a six-speed manual or a torque converter automatic gearbox. However, this new edition is exclusively offered with the 4WD variant of the off-roader. Variant-wise ex-showroom prices for the Thar Earth Edition are as follows:
