Next-gen Honda Amaze spied on test; expected to arrive in early 2025

The Honda Amaze is set to receive a significant update later this year, potentially arriving as a new-generation model. Recent spy shots suggest that the compact sedan will retain its familiar design but with some evolutionary changes, similar to the Honda City. The rear tail lamps appear to have a new design, while the overall look remains consistent with the current version.

Inside, the Amaze is expected to feature major upgrades, including a 360-degree camera, level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), dual-digital screens, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, and a sunroof. These enhancements indicate Honda’s focus on making the Amaze more competitive in the market.

Under the hood, the Amaze will likely continue with Honda’s 1.2-liter engine, producing 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT. Additionally, Honda may offer a CNG variant to better compete with rivals like Maruti and Hyundai, especially since CNG is currently only available as a dealer-fitted option.

The compact sedan segment has become more competitive, with the Amaze facing competition not only from the upcoming Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Aura but also from models like the Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20. Honda will need to step up its game to maintain its position in this shrinking but highly contested market.
