Suzuki Hustler spied on test in India

Suzuki’s compact Hustler micro SUV, known for its boxy design, has been spotted undergoing testing in India. Launched in 2014, the Hustler is a popular Kei car in Japan. The model seen near New Delhi is likely part of component or hot-weather testing. The Hustler measures 3.3 meters in length with a 2.4-meter wheelbase, putting it in the same size category as the MG Comet and Maruti Alto.

Under the hood, the Hustler is powered by a 660cc engine, available in two versions: a naturally aspirated (NA) engine producing 48bhp and a turbocharged version delivering 64bhp. It comes with a CVT transmission, and all-wheel drive (AWD) is available as an option. The vehicle’s exterior and interior both follow a distinctively boxy design, reminiscent of a blend between the Suzuki Jimny and the S-Presso micro SUV.

Given the Hustler’s size, powertrain, and design, it’s unlikely to be launched in India. However, if Suzuki decides to introduce it, the Hustler might be positioned alongside the S-Presso in a similar price range, catering to a niche market segment.
