Kia India has officially teased the upcoming EV9 electric SUV, set to have its price revealed on 3 October. This highly anticipated premium electric SUV will make its debut in the Indian market alongside the new-generation Carnival.
From the teaser, the Kia EV9 appears to maintain the same sleek silhouette as its global counterpart. The SUV will be imported to India as a completely built unit (CBU) and is expected to be offered in a single, fully-loaded variant at launch. This will be Kia’s second electric vehicle offering in India, following the EV6, which is also due for a facelift soon.

The 2024 Kia EV9 is set to become the brand’s new flagship model in India. It will feature striking design elements such as a blanked-off grille, large 21-inch alloy wheels, and GT-spec front and rear bumpers. The India-bound Kia EV9 will likely be powered by a 99.9kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors, delivering 379bhp and 700Nm of torque in its all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. With a claimed range of 445km on a single charge, the EV9 promises strong performance for both city commutes and longer journeys. It also supports 350kWh fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes, making it highly convenient for long-distance travel.
