With the much-anticipated introduction of the CNG variant for the new Swift, the automaker has officially announced the prices for its CNG-powered hatchback. The 2024 Swift now offers a CNG option starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 8.19 lakh, available in three different variants. Here, we’ll look at the key details, including the claimed mileage of the new Swift CNG.
The new Maruti Swift CNG is offered in the VXi, VXi (O), and ZXi variants. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.2-litre Z-series three-cylinder engine paired with a 60-litre CNG tank. This engine, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission, produces 69bhp and 102Nm of peak torque. As for fuel efficiency, the new Swift CNG delivers an impressive ARAI-certified mileage of 32.85km/kg, which is a six per cent improvement over the previous model.
Deliveries for the Swift CNG will begin on 12 October, 2024. Despite being in the market for just four months, the new Swift has already sold over 67,000 units across India. With the addition of the CNG variant, Swift has now become the 14th model in Maruti’s CNG lineup.
