MG motors ZS SUV is rumored to launch in India in early 2019
British automotive company MG Motors is believed to introduce its year-old SUV MG ZS in India in 2019.
ZS is an MG motors second production SUV after GS and was unveiled for the first time in November 2016 at Guangzhou Auto Show and was exclusive to the Chinese market. It has started production for the UK market in late 2017 after showcased at the London Motor Show in early 2017.
The Chinese owned company has decided to launch their first car in India next year and is believed to have clash launch timings with Tata Motors flagship SUV Harrier.
Now, this rumour does have a strong authenticity as the company’s own social media team has revealed that the car will be India’s first launch in early 2019 by posting and commenting on the company’s Facebook page.
The SUV will be featured with a raked windshield, roof spoiler, wraparound tail lamps, and roof rails along with alloy wheels and shark fin antennas. The car will be integrated with emotion dynamism design language.
The interiors of the car could be equipped with HD display screen, panoramic glass sunroof, and have spacious passenger seats providing adequate head and leg room.
The international version of the SUV has 1.5-litre VTI-Tech NSE plus engine which generates 120 PS power and 150 Nm Torque. while the turbocharged version of the same having 1.0 litre 3 cylinder produces 125 PS power and 175 Nm of torque.
Company’s production plant is acquired from General Motors India in September 2017 in Halol, Gujarat.
