Porsche launches Taycan 4S Electric Sports Car
Porsche has launched the entry-level model of Taycan with lower battery capacity. This will be the third model of the Taycan Series after Taycan Turbo S and the Taycan Turbo. Porsche will be offering Taycan 4S in two battery sizes and delivers a power output of either 90 kW (530 PS) or up to 420 kW (571 PS) depending on the battery size.
It features a single-deck Performance battery with a total capacity of 79.2 kWh comes as standard. Additionally, two-deck Performance battery Plus of total capacity of 93.4 kWh is also on offer. The Performance battery offers 530 PS of power while the Performance Plus battery delivers 571 PS of peak power.
The Taycan 4S is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100kmph in staggering 4.0 seconds and can attain a top speed of 250kmph. It returns a range of 407 kilometers with the Performance battery and up to 463 kilometers with the Performance Plus battery. Both batteries can be charged from 5% to 80% in 22.5 minutes using 800V DC fast charger.
The EV is is no way slow, it offers breathtaking acceleration, tractive power typical similar to any other sports car. The power is transferred to each axle with the help of two electric motors making it AWD vehicle. The front axle comes with a pulse-controlled inverter operates at 300 amps while the inverter at the rear axle operates with up to 600 amps. The rear-wheel axle is mated to a two-speed transmission.
The car features intelligent charging management and excellent aerodynamics. It has a low coefficient of drag of 0.22. The front fascia looks wide and flat with highly contoured wings. It gets a sporty roofline that is sloping down to the rear of the car. It also comes with sculpted side sections, sleek cabin and sharply accented rear.
