Audi Activesphere teased as the fourth model in Audi’s Sphere line of concept cars
The fourth model will be versatile while providing luxury mobility both on-road and off-road, Audi says.
Audi has released the teaser image for Audi Activesphere, the fourth of Audi’s Sphere line-up of concept cars. Announced in August 2021, this line-up previews the future of the brand’s path forward in the luxury electric vehicle space. The Activesphere will provide “maximum variability for an active lifestyle – both on and off-road“, the brand quoted.
Until now, Audi has showcased three concepts from the Sphere lineup- The Skysphere, The Grandsphere, and the Urbansphere. The Skysphere is a convertible 2-seater with a variable wheelbase. The variable wheelbase allows to vehicle from an agile short-wheelbase sports car to a long-wheelbase Grand Tourer, depending on the driver’s mood.
The Grandsphere is a long, 5.2 meter luxury sedan. It features an evocative 4-door fastback design. Audi calls the Grandsphere an experienced device, emphasizing the focus on the luxury of its occupants more than anything else.
The third in the sphere line-up is the Audi Urbansphere, featuring an MPV style design, for the lack of a better term. The Urbansphere promises to be a luxury getaway in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the urban atmosphere. The interiors of the Grandsphere will be the area of focus, from being an office to a lounge, as per the user’s requirements.
Irrespective of their body styles though, each Sphere vehicle will supposedly offer the best utilization of interior space As of now, there is limited information about the Activesphere, apart from the fact that it will get offroad capabilities. The Audi Activesphere will debut in early 2023. Also, the other three cars from the Sphere lineup will be showcased together in Monterey Car week in California in August 2022.
