BMW F 450 GS India launch likely in mid-2025

BMW Motorrad is gearing up to introduce the F 450 GS adventure bike to the Indian market, with its launch anticipated in mid-2025. Currently under development, the middleweight ADV made its debut as a concept at the recent EICMA motorcycle show. Designed to comply with the stricter emission norms set to come into effect in mid-2025, the F 450 GS promises to be both future-ready and performance-driven.

The design of the F 450 GS takes inspiration from BMW’s iconic GS lineup, including the flagship R 1300 GS. From its angular beak and sleek radiator shrouds to its large fuel tank and streamlined side and tail sections, the bike proudly carries the signature GS styling, making it instantly recognizable as part of the family.

At its core lies an all-new parallel twin engine producing 48bhp. BMW claims this engine features a unique ignition offset that delivers an engaging and dynamic riding experience. This innovation ensures the engine remains rev-happy while offering a distinctive character.

The F 450 GS concept boasts a fully adjustable USD fork at the front and a monoshock with load-dependent damping at the rear, ensuring versatility across diverse terrains. Weighing in at 175kg, the bike will offer two wheel configurations: a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy setup or tubeless wire-spoke wheels for enhanced off-road capability.

In terms of braking, the bike is equipped with disc brakes on both ends, ensuring reliable stopping power. With its blend of advanced engineering, iconic design, and off-road prowess, the F 450 GS is set to make a significant mark in the adventure bike segment upon its arrival in India.
