BS6 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R S-CNG launched at Rs 5.25 lakh

Country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2020 WagonR S-CNG variant. The latest addition to the line-up of BS6 vehicles, the updated WagonR is priced at Rs 5.25 lakh for the LXi variant and going up to Rs 5.32 for the LXi(O) variant (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new WagonR S-CNG comes with a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that belts out 58 bhp of power and a torque of 78 Nm in the CNG mode while producing 81 bhp of power and 113 Nm torque in the petrol mode. The S-CNG version comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. In order to aid performance and driveability, the WagonR comes equipped with dual interdependent ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and intelligent injection system.
Maruti Suzuki’s ‘Mission Green Million’ programme announced at the Auto Expo 2020 aims to sell 1 million green vehicles, including mild hybrids, strong hybrids, electric vehicles, and CNG cars, in the next couple of years. Part of the “Mission Green Million” the WagonR S-CNG is the third car after the Alto 800 and the Ertiga MPV, to get the S-CNG technology in addition to being BS6 compliant as well.
