BS6 Nissan Kicks Launched At Rs. 9.49Lakh; More Power than Creta/Seltos

Nissan India has launched the BS6 Nissan Kicks in India. Prices start at Rs. 9.49 lakh for the base 1.5XL variant. The highlight though is the new 1.3L Turbo Petrol engine, which makes it more powerful than the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. The new engine develops 156 PS power and 254 Nm of torque.

This, Nissan says, has been achieved by borrowing some Nissan GT-R tech. The new HR13 DDT engine employs Cylinder Coating Technology for better performance and fuel efficiency. It also gets Dual Variable Valve Timing for better low range torque output. There is also a bigger but less powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine for base variants.

The 1.5-litre engine is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is no auto-transmission option for this engine. The new 1.3 Litre engine gets either a 6-speed Manual transmission or the X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission. Nissan claims that the X-Tronic CVT transmission is 40% more efficient than other CVTs of its class/

Nissan offers a 2 years/50,000 Km warranty for the Kicks, which can be extended to 5 Years/100,000 Km. It comes with free Road-Side Assistance subscription for 2 years available in more than 1500 cities. For the convenience of customers, Nissan will also offer a pre-paid maintenance service package at an attractive price starting, Rs2099 per year.

The 2020 BS6 Nissan Kicks is available in 6 monotone colour options: Blade Silver, Night Shade, Bronze Grey, Fire Red, Pearl White, Deep Blue Pearl; and 3 dual-tone colour options: Bronze Grey with Amber Orange, Fire Red with Onyx Black and Pearl White with Onyx Black.

He loves to understand his ride fully and once he does, he loves to explore its limits. American Hotrodder David Freighburger is his icon, while he dreams to daily drive a 68′ Dodge Charger some day.
