Citroen Basalt mileage revealed ahead of launch

Earlier this week, Citroën revealed the production-ready Basalt coupe-SUV ahead of its anticipated launch in the coming weeks. Alongside the unveiling, the carmaker also announced the key specifications and features of the new model.

The Basalt will come with two engine options. The first is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 80bhp and 115Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. The second option is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine delivering 109bhp. This engine offers two transmission choices: a six-speed manual and a torque converter automatic, producing 190Nm and 205Nm of torque, respectively.

Here are the mileage figures for the Citroën Basalt by variant:

  • 1.2 NA with 5MT: 18 kmpl
  • 1.2 Turbo with 6 MT: 19.5 kmpl
  • 1.2 Turbo with 6 AT: 18.7 kmpl

Key feature highlights of the 2024 Citroën Basalt include LED projector headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, wraparound taillights, rear AC vents, adjustable thigh support for the second-row occupants, a 10.25-inch touchscreen system with wireless connectivity, six airbags as standard, and automatic climate control.
