Ducati Multistrada V4 RS: Top five highlights
Ducati has recently launched the new Multistrada V4 RS in India, the fastest and sportiest version of the Multistrada V4 lineup. This new model brings exciting features and enhanced performance to motorcycle enthusiasts. Let’s take a look at its top five highlights.
The Most Powerful V4 Engine in a Multistrada
The Multistrada V4 RS is powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, equipped with Desmo valves. Unlike the Granturismo V4 engine found in other Multistrada V4 variants, this engine delivers an impressive 180bhp at 12,250rpm and 118Nm of torque at 9,500rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. These power figures highlight the bike’s formidable performance, and with the addition of the Akrapovic exhaust system, it delivers a thrilling exhaust note to match its speed.
Distinctive Design
Visually, the Multistrada V4 RS stands out with its unique design. It sports an eye-catching Iceberg White colour scheme, complemented by red racing stripes that accentuate its sporty aesthetic. Additional red accents can be seen on the brake calipers and wheel spokes, adding to the bike’s aggressive look. The single-sided swingarm further enhances the sleek and dynamic appearance of the bike.
Advanced Electronics
As expected from a high-end Ducati, the Multistrada V4 RS is equipped with an extensive electronics suite. This includes four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low) and a range of rider aids like traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and four ride modes (Race, Sport, Touring, and Urban). The Full Power Mode intensifies the bike’s acceleration, making the ride even more exhilarating.
Robust Chassis and Suspension
The Multistrada V4 RS features an aluminium monocoque chassis paired with electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension at both the front and rear. The braking system is top-notch, with twin 330mm discs and Brembo Stylema calipers at the front, and a 265mm disc with a Brembo two-piston caliper at the rear. Ducati has also focused on reducing the bike’s overall weight, using 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminium rims and a titanium subframe, which is 2.5kg lighter than the subframe on other Multistrada V4 models.
Price and Competitors
Priced at Rs 38.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ducati Multistrada V4 RS offers premium performance and advanced features. It faces stiff competition from the BMW M 1000 XR, a similarly high-performance adventure motorcycle in this price range.
The Multistrada V4 RS combines power, style, and technology, offering a thrilling riding experience for those seeking the best in performance and design.
