Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has recently secured a design patent for its CB1000 Hornet model in India, signaling the potential arrival of the Japanese streetfighter in the domestic market. The CB1000 Hornet, succeeding the CB1000R Neo Sports Cafe, boasts an aggressive design characterized by sharp lines and contours reminiscent of the Ducati Streetfighter.
Under the hood, the CB1000 Hornet packs a punch with its 999cc inline-four-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive output of 147bhp and 100Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed gearbox and housed within a sturdy trellis frame, the powertrain ensures thrilling performance on the road. Suspension duties are handled by Showa forks at the front and a Pro-Link shock at the rear, both offering pre-load and rebound adjustability for a customizable riding experience.
Equipped with advanced electronic features such as throttle-by-wire technology, a five-inch TFT display, and three ride modes, the CB1000 Hornet promises a modern and engaging riding experience. While Honda introduced the bike in international markets last year, the recent patent registration suggests an imminent entry into the competitive 1000cc segment in India. As of now, the Honda BigWing website does not list any 1000cc models, indicatin
