Ahead of the launch of the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle, the company has opened bookings for the model in India. In fact, the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle can be booked at Hero MotoCorp dealerships and the booking amount has been capped at Rs 25,000.
The upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle will be the first motorcycle to be sold under the partnership between Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson. That being said, the production, sales, and service of the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle will be taken care of by Hero MotoCorp.
Speaking about the upcoming Harley-Davidson X440, the motorcycle sports a retro theme with circular elements such as headlights, turn indicators, rear-view mirrors and instrument cluster. Additionally, the motorcycle also has a very butch stance with its muscular fuel tank and sleek rear section.
Speaking about the stance, the riding position on the upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle looks somewhat neutral. On top of that, the motorcycle rides on 18-inch wheels at the front and smaller 17-inch wheels at the rear – Making the motorcycle suitable for both city and occasional weekend rides.
Looking at the images, we can see the upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle comes equipped with features such as USD forks at the front, front and rear disc brakes, all-LED lighting, circular digital instrument cluster, and gas-charged twin shocks at the rear.
Unlike traditional Harley-Davidson motorcycles, the upcoming X440 will be using a single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This powertrain is said to be around 440cc and likely to produce approximately 25-30bhp and 35-40Nm of torque.
Furthermore drifting away from the tradition, the upcoming Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle will use a conventional chain drive instead of a belt drive. It is also believed that the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle will come equipped with a 6-speed gearbox.
With bookings now open, we expect the partnership to launch the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle very soon in the Indian market. Also, we expect the company to price the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle somewhere around the Rs 2.75 lakh mark.
