Honda City prices hiked in India; gets new features
Honda Cars India has recently enhanced the safety features across its entire vehicle lineup. This initiative coincided with a revision in the prices of its popular models like the Amaze, City, City e: HEV, and Elevate. The updated City sedan, for instance, witnessed a price hike of up to Rs. 37,200, now commencing at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 12.08 lakh.
The City is offered in five variants: SV, V-Elegant, V, VX, and ZX. The price adjustment varies across these variants, with increments ranging from Rs. 16,100 to Rs. 37,200. Notable additions to the City sedan include six airbags as standard, seatbelt reminders for all occupants, a 4.2-inch coloured display for the instrument panel, an eight-speaker music system, and a rear sunshade.
Under the hood, the fifth-generation Honda City is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. This engine generates a maximum power output of 119bhp and a peak torque of 145Nm. These updates reflect Honda’s commitment to enhancing safety and customer satisfaction across its vehicle range.
