Hyundai i20 CVT
The CVT version of popular Elite I20 has started its arrival in showrooms with the base variant priced at Rs 7.04 lakhs.
The Hyundai Elite I20 CVT (continuously variable transmission) will come in only two variants: Magna and Asta. The Magna model will cost customers around 7.04 lakhs while the Asta model is priced at 8.16 lakh(Ex-showroom Delhi).
This is not the first automatic car for I20 series. The pre-facelift I20 was also having an automatic configuration with a 4-speed automatic torque converter transmission integrated with a 1.4litre petrol engine.
The new CVT comes with a 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine which can produce max power of 83 bhp. Engine displacement of 1197
The competitors for I20 would be Honda’s Jazz which cost around 7.70-8.48 lakhs and Maruti Suzuki which has a price tag of 7.10-8.41 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). Both these cars come in a premium hatchback category with automatic transmission option.
The no of feature on the new I20 are same as compared to the manual version. The Magna executive has an ABS with EBD, dual airbags at front, 2-DIN music system, additional rear AC vents, all- four power window and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
While the Asta buyers will get the advantage of additional features such as reverse parking camera 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seat, tilt-telescopic steering, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.
In terms of design, the overall design is same compared to the previous version. Just the back is curvier and the headlights are made more circular. The front end of both manual and automatic is nearly same.
