Hyundai Ioniq 9 interior teased ahead of reveal this month
Hyundai is gearing up to unveil its three-row electric SUV, the Ioniq 9, later this month. This new model is the production-ready version of the Ioniq Concept 7 first showcased in 2021. Teaser images have provided a glimpse into the SUV’s interior, highlighting its three-row seating arrangement, front-row passenger seat controls, Bose speakers, unique door pocket design, and a rear roofline that hints at the vehicle’s overall styling.
Positioned as Hyundai’s counterpart to the successful Kia EV9, the Ioniq 9 is expected to deliver a similar feature set. Anticipated highlights include multi-zone climate control, Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), dual digital screens, and an interior crafted with eco-friendly, recycled materials.
The Ioniq 9 will be built on Hyundai’s e-GMP platform, shared with the EV9. While the automaker has hinted at a seven-seat configuration, six-seat versions may also be available depending on regional demand.
In India, the Ioniq 9 is expected to arrive in 2026 as a completely built unit (CBU). Much like Kia’s approach with the EV9, Hyundai is likely to position the Ioniq 9 as a showcase of its advanced EV technology rather than a high-volume offering.
