India-bound 2024 Suzuki Swift: Top Highlights

Following its debut at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo back in October 2023, Suzuki has officially introduced the all-new Swift to the European market. This fourth-generation iteration of the beloved hatchback is poised to make its way to several markets, including India, later this year. Let’s delve into some of its key highlights.

Size and Dimensions

Measuring at 3,860mm in length, 1,735mm in width, and 1,495mm in height for the front-wheel-drive variant, the new Swift offers ample space for occupants. Additionally, Suzuki offers an all-wheel-drive version, slightly taller at 1,520mm. With a wheelbase spanning 2,450mm, the Swift provides a comfortable and stable ride, with track widths varying based on the drive configuration. It’s important to note that the India-spec model will be exclusively front-wheel drive.

ADAS Features

The 2024 European-spec Swift boasts an array of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including lane departure warning, weaving alert, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitor, and traffic sign recognition. Enhancing both safety and convenience, the vehicle also features 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, navigation, rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, wireless smartphone link display audio, and keyless entry and start.

Colors

Available in a palette of eight metallic hues, the 2024 Swift offers further customization with four optional dual-tone color schemes. These combinations include a black pearl or grey metallic roof, complementing the chosen body color and adding a touch of sophistication to the exterior design.

New Lightweight Platform

Built on Suzuki’s renowned ‘HEARTECT’ platform, the 2024 Swift boasts a chassis that strikes a perfect balance between lightweight construction and structural rigidity. Through a meticulous redesign of the underbody structure and component layout, Suzuki has achieved a highly rigid frame that enhances collision safety, ensuring peace of mind for occupants.

Reduced NVH

In a bid to enhance cabin comfort, Suzuki has prioritized reducing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels in the new Swift. Employing innovative techniques, such as the application of sound and vibration adhesive to the underbody, the brand has succeeded in minimizing the transmission of noise and vibration into the cabin, even on uneven road surfaces.

With its innovative features, enhanced safety measures, and refined driving experience, the 2024 Swift stands as a testament to Suzuki’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality and performance in the compact hatchback segment. As it gears up to make its mark across global markets, the new Swift promises an exhilarating driving experience coupled with unparalleled comfort and convenience.
