India-spec Nissan X-Trail unveiled ahead of launch
Nissan has officially unveiled the India-spec X-Trail SUV ahead of its anticipated launch in the coming weeks. This three-row SUV will join the lineup alongside the Magnite, which is currently Nissan’s sole offering in the Indian market. The X-Trail will be available in a single, fully-loaded variant upon its price announcement.
The new X-Trail will be offered in three distinct colors: Pearl White, Diamond Black, and Champagne Silver. Regarding dimensions, the SUV measures 4,680mm in length, 1,840mm in width, and 1,725mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,705mm. It also boasts a ground clearance of 210mm, making it suitable for varied terrains.
Powering the 2024 Nissan X-Trail is a 1.5-litre variable compression turbo-petrol engine, complemented by a 12V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain produces 160bhp and 300Nm of torque and is paired with a CVT transmission. The SUV, which claims a mileage of 13.7kmpl, can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 9.6 seconds.
The exterior of the new X-Trail features several standout elements, including split LED headlamps, 20-inch machined alloy wheels, front door-mounted ORVMs, LED taillights, silver roof rails, an integrated spoiler, shark-fin antenna, rear wiper and washer, and contrast-colored skid plates. Additionally, a tire puncture repair kit is provided instead of a spare wheel.
Inside, the X-Trail offers a range of premium features. These include a three-spoke steering wheel, a fully digital colored instrument console, paddle shifters, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, a wireless charger, multiple drive modes, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. Safety and convenience are further enhanced with a surround-view monitor, seven airbags, second-row seats with a reclining function, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), front parking sensors, traction control, and a limited-slip differential.
