Design

The Kawasaki KLX230 is a dual-sport motorcycle that exudes a spirit perfectly suited for rugged trails. It is available in two striking color options: Lime Green and Battle Grey. The design features an LED headlight accompanied by bulb-type indicators and a prominent high-rise front fender. Its round mirrors, straight handlebar, and sharply contoured tank extensions contribute to an assertive aesthetic. The KLX insignia is elegantly displayed in black on the tank fairing. The mid-mounted footpegs afford the rider an upright posture, while the rear boasts an upswept exhaust positioned just below the passenger seat. The flat seat mirrors those found on motocross machines, enhancing its sporty appeal.

Engine

On the mechanical front, the Kawasaki KLX230 is equipped with a robust 233cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering an impressive 18.1 PS at 8,000 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 6,400 rpm, paired with a sophisticated 6-speed transmission. It features a sturdy steel perimeter frame for enhanced durability.

The suspension comprises a 37mm telescopic fork offering 240mm of wheel travel, complemented by a preload-adjustable monoshock with 250mm of travel. For braking, it employs a 265mm petal disc at the front and a 220mm petal disc at the rear. The wheel configuration includes 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels. With a generous ground clearance of 265mm and a substantial seat height of 880mm, the KLX230 ensures an agile riding experience. Notably, the motorcycle is remarkably lightweight, tipping the scales at just 139 kg kerb weight.
