Kawasaki Versys 1000 BS6 Launched In India
First debuted in India on January 2015, the Kawasaki Versys 1000 now receives an upgraded BS6 compliant mill. The motorcycle is launched at starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 10,99,000.
Kawasaki Versys 1000 receives its design inspiration from Ninja 1000, it may not be wrong if we say that Versys 1000 is a crossover of Ninja 1000. Meant for its off-roading abilities, the Versys is feature rich and comes with twin LED headlights, digital instrument cluster, analogue tachometer, adjustable visor, single side-mounted exhaust, etc.
Powering the Versys 1000 is Kawasaki’s 1,043 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke in-line four-cylinder engine capable of producing 120 ps of power at 9,000 rpm and 102 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual-transmission gearbox. It features assist & slipper clutch for smooth gear shifting.
Other features include 21-liter fuel tank, upright riding stance, comfortable seating, large luggage space, electronic cruise control, 40W DC socket, etc. It features large disc brakes with 310 mm and 250 mm petal discs at front and rear respectively. They come equipped USD forks at the front and gas-charged shocks at the rear. It is equipped with safety features such as supersport-grade anti-lock brake system, IMU-based cornering management function and advanced traction control system.
In the other news, Kawasaki India has announced price list of all its motorcycles in India. These prices are applicable from April 1st, 2020.
