Kia Sonet X-Line Teaser Ad released, Launch Soon

Kia Sonet X-Line

The Kia Sonet is next in line to receive the X-Line treatment. The last time we saw the X-Line monicker, it was plastered on the Seltos. The Sonet will receive the same upgrades as well.

Exterior

That means the exterior will receive the stealthy matte Graphite grey paint job as the Seltos did. Other cosmetic changes may include a black faux skid plate, blacked-out front grille, and black treatment to the ORVMs. The Seltos X-Line also got exclusive 18-Inch Crystal cut alloy wheels. So it is safe to speculate that the Sonet X-Line will get a unique set of alloy wheels design as well. To add a sporty touch, the stealthy exterior will get bright red/orange accents. At the rear, the bumper will get a blacked-out skid plate and an X-Line badge on the tailgate, as seen in the teaser.

Interior

Like the Sletos X-Line, the Sonet X-line will get the Indigo-Perra seat upholstery with a honeycomb mesh pattern. Those will be accented with contrasting light grey stitching. The dashboard layout will remain unchanged and will be finished in dual-tone grey and black colors. We don’t expect any new features added to the feature list of the Sonet.

Powertrain

The Kia Sonet X-Line will be based on the top-spec GT Line Trim which is available with two engine options. The 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine churning out 120bhp will be paired to the 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission. the diesel variant will be powered by the 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine, paired to a 6-speed torque converter transmission. To sum it up, the Sonet X-Line will be mechanically identical to its regular counterpart.

Kia Sonet X-Line Launch, Price

Kia Sonet X-Line

Kia India will launch the Sonet X-Line in the early weeks of September. Because the Sonet X-Line is based on the GT Line variant, the price for the X-Line variant is expected to start with a slight premium over that of the GT line. We expect the prices to start at Rs.12.99 lakh (Ex-showroom).
