KTM India has announced that all KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles that are purchased from 1 April, 2024 onwards will be available with a total of 5 years warranty. This includes a standard warranty of 2 years or 30,000km plus 3 years or 45,000km extended warranty.
Customers will also appreciate the fact that the 5 years warranty is being offered at no additional cost. Along with this, the company has also thrown in a year of 24×7 roadside assistance for free.
The benefit of a long warranty coverage is seen in the event of a component or part failure. This could possibly be an electrical or mechanical issue with the bike. In the past, there have been issues with radiator fans, leaky gaskets, etc. Warranty takes care of this and ensures peace of mind for the owner as the faulty parts are replaced with new ones for free. Even the labour costs associated with the repairs are covered under this warranty program.
However, in order to avail the warranty coverage, owners must ensure that their motorcycles are serviced at the mandated intervals, be it number of days or kilometers covered. The information for the same is always mentioned in the owner’s manual.
The 24×7 Roadside assistance is also quite handy in ensuring that your bike can be taken care of in the event of a breakdown. The service includes flat tyre assistance, on-site repair and towing to the nearest KTM and Husqvarna service center.
The extended warranty on KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles should further boost the confidence of prospective customers in making a decision of buying their bikes.
