Lamborghini Urus SE to be launched in India on 9 August

Lamborghini unveiled the mid-life update of its super SUV, the Urus, in April this year. Named the Urus SE, this model received significant updates across its exterior, interior, mechanical components, and powertrain.

Lamborghini has now announced that the Urus SE will make its debut in the Indian market on August 9, 2024. Following Lamborghini’s recent trend, the Urus range now features hybrid power, a transition that started with the Revuelto and is now extending to the Urus, with plans to include the Huracan successor in the future.

The Lamborghini Urus SE is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine, complemented by a 25.9kWh battery pack and an electric motor. The petrol engine produces 620bhp and 800Nm of torque, while the electric motor adds 189bhp and 483Nm. This allows the vehicle to reach speeds of up to 130kmph in electric-only mode and provides an electric range of 60km. The combined power output of the hybrid system is an impressive 800bhp and 950Nm, delivered to the wheels through an eight-speed gearbox.

In terms of mechanical enhancements, the new Urus SE features an electronic rear differential, recalibrated drive modes, an electric torque vectoring system, 15 percent improved aerodynamic efficiency, and 35 percent increased downforce compared to its predecessor. It also comes standard with an air suspension system.

Design-wise, the 2024 Lamborghini Urus SE showcases matrix LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs inspired by the tail of a raging bull, a bonnet extending to the nose, a new spoiler, and Y-shaped taillights and a diffuser reminiscent of the Gallardo.

Inside, the Urus SE is equipped with up to 10 drive modes, a new 12.3-inch touchscreen unit featuring the latest HMI interface, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and newly designed AC vents. Additionally, there is an extensive range of customisation options available through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division.
