Mahindra launches plush new XUV 500
Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the all-new plush new XUV 500 which now comes with a bold new design and features which sets a new benchmark in the premium SUV segment. The all-new plush XUV 500 comes with a lot of new features and fancy stuff inside as well as on the exterior part. The interior now looks more upmarket and the powertrain has also been updated with more power. The XUV 500 has always been a stylist in the premium SUV segment with its great offerings to the customers.
The Plush new XUV 500 comes with a bold and appealing new design at the front with a new wider grille with chrome inserts, fog lamps with refreshing new chrome bezels and stunning LED DRLs fitted above the headlamps. Coming to the rear that is the place where major changes have taken place, the SUV now carries a stylish tailgate with split tail lamps and a new integrated spoiler which is said to improve the aerodynamics of the SUV. Being it an SUV the updated version now gets larger 45.72 cm (235/60 R18) diamond cut alloys.
Coming on the inside the interiors of the Plush new XUV 500 now gets more luxurious and upmarket feel with a new tan and black theme comprising of new quilted tan leather seats, the dashboard and door trims are now finely crafted soft touch leather. The infotainment system is now paired with an Arkamys sound system The overall cabin just feels a lot more premium and sophisticated.
The updated XUV 500 comes with higher power, thanks to the more powerful mHawk engine of 114 kW which now produces 155 bhp and higher torque of 360 Nm. The SUV comes with the latest 6th generation electronically controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger (eVGT) which has improved the low-end torque and ensures even more pleasurable driving in the urban areas where gear shifting plays an important part. Overall the driving experience has been enhanced. The advanced suspension of the new XUV 500 promises a luxurious ride.
Talking about the safety the vehicle features 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with rollover mitigation, hill hold and hill descent control and disc brakes on all wheels. In addition, The XUV 500 also offers the first in class safety feature of Emergency Calling. The Plush new XUV 500 is available in 5 diesel variants, including an optional pack, namely W5, W7, W9, W11 and W11 OPT, the new XUV 500 will also offer one gasoline option of G AT to customers. All the above diesel models are also available in the automatic transmission and the W11 OPT gets an AWD with automatic transmission. Customers can choose from 7 attractive shades – New Crimson Red, New Mystic Coppe, Pearl White, Volcano Black, Moon dust Silver, Opulent Purple and Lake Side Brown.The Plush new XUV 500 will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Hexa, Jeep Compass in the Indian Market.
