MG Motor India, a part of JSW Group, is gearing up to launch its first offering under the newly introduced ‘MG Select’ sub-brand. The spotlight is on the MG Cyberster, an all-electric, two-door coupe poised to make its global debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January 2025.
A Bold Leap Into the Electric Roadster Segment
The MG Cyberster is the brand’s inaugural electric roadster, boasting striking butterfly doors and a sleek, low-slung profile. Its design exudes modernity and sophistication, with exterior features such as a dipping front nose, elegant LED headlamps equipped with DRLs, functional air ducts, and a split front bumper. Adding to its flair are the dual-tone 20-inch alloy wheels, connected arrow-shaped taillights, and a retractable roof, making it a visual treat.
Performance and Powertrain
The Cyberster is expected to arrive in two configurations: a single-motor and a dual-motor setup. With an estimated power output of around 500bhp, this roadster is engineered for thrilling performance, achieving a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.2 seconds. For range enthusiasts, the MG Cyberster offers an impressive certified driving range of nearly 500 km on a single charge, setting a high benchmark for electric vehicles in its class.
