MG Hector BlackStorm starts reaching dealerships post-launch

MG Motor India has unveiled its latest offering in the Hector lineup with the introduction of the ‘BlackStorm’ edition, a stylish variant characterized by its dark theme. Available across five-, six-, and seven-seater configurations, this edition starts at an attractive ex-showroom price of Rs. 21.25 lakh. However, this pricing is said to be introductory and limited to the first 250 units.

Following its debut, the Hector BlackStorm is now making its way to dealerships nationwide. This edition follows the footsteps of the flagship Gloster SUV and the Astor, marking a trend of dark-themed variants across MG’s lineup.

Externally, the Hector BlackStorm showcases striking cosmetic enhancements. It features a sleek black paint scheme complemented by vibrant red accents on the bumpers, ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), and brake calipers. Additionally, the SUV boasts a dark chrome front grille, black headlamp bezels, smoked taillights with a distinctive blade finish, and ‘BlackStorm’ badges, adding a touch of exclusivity.

Stepping inside, the cabin of the Hector BlackStorm is adorned with a matching blacked-out interior theme highlighted by red accents and ambient lighting. Despite the emphasis on aesthetics, the SUV doesn’t compromise on features. It retains its large portrait-style infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, 360-degree surround camera, six airbags, wireless charger, automatic climate control, digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, and a Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite.

Under the hood, the Hector BlackStorm remains unchanged, offering a choice between a 1.5-litre petrol engine generating 141bhp and 250Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or CVT gearbox, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 168bhp and 350Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

With its distinctive aesthetics and feature-packed interior, the MG Hector BlackStorm aims to captivate SUV enthusiasts seeking a blend of style, performance, and advanced technology in their vehicle.
