MG range gets special edition to celebrate Centenary milestone

MG has introduced special editions for its Hector, Comet, ZS EV, and Astor models to commemorate its 100th anniversary. Named the 100-Year Limited Edition, these vehicles feature a unique Evergreen hue, paying homage to the iconic British racing green color. The special edition includes a black roof, a ‘100-Year Edition’ badge on the tailgate, and an all-black interior theme with ‘100-Year Edition’ embroidery on the front headrests. Additionally, the limited edition comes with an ‘Evergreen’ themed head unit and customizable widget colors.

While there are no mechanical alterations, MG has not disclosed the production quantity for this limited run. Although the Gloster is absent from this lineup, MG is anticipated to introduce a facelift for its flagship diesel SUV later this year.

This marks MG’s second special edition following the Blackstorm pack for the Hector, Gloster, and Astor models. Special editions have gained popularity over the past two years, with various automakers, including Skoda, Volkswagen, Kia, Hyundai, and Maruti, joining the trend. Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer at MG Motor India, emphasized the brand’s enduring legacy and commitment to automotive excellence with the launch of the 100-Year Limited Edition.

He highlighted the significance of the ‘Evergreen’ color, reflecting MG’s performance and heritage, and expressed the brand’s aspiration to be recognized for its rich legacy and customer resonance in the years ahead.
