MotoGP 2024: Ducati’s Pecco Bagnaia dominates the Austrian GP
The 2024 MotoGP Austrian Grand Prix at the high-speed Red Bull Ring delivered thrilling action, especially for Ducati Lenovo’s Pecco Bagnaia. Bagnaia not only secured victory in the Sprint race but also commanded the main event, outpacing Jorge Martin of Prima Pramac Racing. Despite Martin’s early lead, Bagnaia swiftly reclaimed control and maintained a blistering pace that none could match.
Marc Marquez, after a poor start and a collision with Franco Morbidelli, mounted a remarkable comeback, climbing from P13 to finish in P4. Enea Bastianini took the third spot on the podium, but Marquez’s recovery drive was one of the race’s highlights.
With this win, Bagnaia extends his lead in the 2024 MotoGP World Championship to 275 points, followed by Martin with 270 points, and Bastianini with 214 points. The championship battle remains tight, promising more intense racing in the rounds to come.
