Hailed as the All Powerful Scorpio, it gets minor facial tweaks, like a new bumper with integrated foglamps, a new bash plate, redesigned 17 -inch Alloy wheels.

The rear gets a new redesigned tail gate which looks much better than the earlier tail gate with plastic cladded sorround around the licence plate. Also new is the tail lamp which gets red glass instead of clear glass of the earlier version.

Also tinkered with is the same old M-Hawk 2.2 litre turbo diesel, which gets a new Borg Warner turbocharger. The Scorpio now makes 140 horsepower, up by 20hp over previous Scorpio and 320 Nm of torque, 40 more than the earlier version.

On the interior, it gets grey faux leather upholstery on seats. The steering and gear lever has also been wrapped in faux leather, with blue contrast stitch. There’s the new touch-screen infotainment system, but no Apple Car Play or Android Auto support, which is a common feature offered on most new automobiles these days.

Overall, the Scorpio retains its old-school macho stance, which is fast diminishing these days with the Compact SUVs taking over the masses attention.
