Nissan has released a teaser image of the new compact SUV, codenamed B-SUV

Nissan India has revealed a teaser image of the Nissan B-SUV, a new compact SUV. Though the company hasn’t revealed a lot of information about this new SUV, it says that the B-SUV is designed in India for the World. It will most likely compete with the likes of the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.

Nissan India launched the Nissan Kicks in India last year when they stated that they will focus on SUVs in India for the coming years. Nissan will look to hit the market compact SUV market hard with this new SUV after facing a difficult phase last year owing to the industry slowdown. The stylish new compact SUV, B-SUV as Nissan calls it will be technologically advanced with loads of tech. It is also possible that the automaker may bring it as an EV. We can say so owing to Nissan recently testing their EV tech for India with the Leaf EV, which will also eventually be launched.

Meanwhile, it is difficult to predict as to what else the company has in store for 2020, though we can expect launches of few more SUVs. The company is likely to bring in the Nissan X-Trail to compete with the Jeep Compass and the upcoming Tata Gravitas. Of course, that is what time will tell.

Nissan India’s current line-up includes the Micra and Micra Active hatchbacks. The Nissan Sunny competes in the C-Segment sedan category. The SUV lineup includes the Nissan Kicks and the Duster based Nissan Terrano. And of course, not to forget, they also sell the mighty Nissan GT-R in the Indian market.
