Nissan Leaf becomes the highest selling electric vehicle globally with the delivery of the 300,000th Leaf

The Nissan Leaf is now officially the highest selling electric vehicle in the world. The news from Tokyo informed us that the 300,000th Leafhas been delivered. This number comes 8 years after the Leaf was first launched in 2010.

Recently, in September 2017, the fully redesigned Nissan Leaf was showcased. The new Leaf comes with ProPILOT Technology, ProPILOT Park Technology, better range and more power.

“These numbers prove that the Nissan LEAF remains the most advanced car in the world, with the widest reach and the greatest availability,” said Nissan Executive Vice
President Daniele Schillaci

The new Nissan LEAF is slated for deliveries in January in the U.S., Canada and Europe
and will be sold in more than 60 markets worldwide.

As India moves towards EVs, Nissan has an opportunity here. Do you think the Nissan Leaf should be sold in India as well?

An utter car guy, he’s the guy on the keyboard. Driver’s seat is his place for solace. Apart from talking cars and driving, Kedar also spends a fortune on die-cast miniatures of them, especially old American Muscle. He loves to understand his ride fully and once he does, he loves to explore its limits. American Hotrodder David Freighburger is his icon, while he dreams to daily drive a 68′ Dodge Charger some day.
