Nissan X-Trail officially teased; to be launched in India soon
After unveiling the X-Trail for the Indian market in November 2022, Nissan has finally hinted at the imminent launch of the updated SUV through a teaser video shared by the company.
Teaser Details The Nissan X-Trail was showcased alongside the Qashqai and Juke SUVs. The teaser image reveals key features of the upcoming three-row SUV, including inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, split headlamps, a new grille with horizontal slats and chrome surround, and a front camera.
Exterior Features The Nissan X-Trail will also feature contrast-coloured skid plates, wraparound two-piece taillights, door cladding, a rear wiper and washer, an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, a shark-fin antenna, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
Interior Highlights The interior of the 2024 X-Trail will include a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery, a large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, an engine start-stop button, a digital instrument console, an ADAS suite, and an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function.
Powertrain and Competition The X-Trail will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an electric motor, with transmission options likely limited to a CVT gearbox. Once launched, it will compete with models such as the BYD Atto 3, MG Cloud EV, Jeep Compass, and Volkswagen Tiguan. The 2024 X-Trail will be brought to India via the CBU route.
