Ola Electric has introduced its most budget-friendly model yet, the S1 X, as part of a stock clearance sale. Priced at Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom), this limited-time offer applies to the S1 X 2kWh variant until stocks run out.
In a recent tweet, the company announced that the special pricing is available only for this specific variant. Normally, the S1 X retails for Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), but with this stock clearance, buyers can save Rs 20,000. The S1 X 2kWh variant offers a claimed range of 95 km on a single charge and a top speed of 85 kmph, though it comes with fewer features compared to other versions of the scooter.
This aggressive pricing move suggests Ola Electric is facing challenges in boosting sales. Last month, the company experienced a significant decline in overall sales, resulting in a notable drop in market share. A major factor contributing to this downturn has been issues with after-sales service. Numerous customers have taken to social media to voice complaints, with some reporting that their scooters have been stuck at service centers for extended periods without resolution. While Ola Electric has acknowledged these concerns and aims to resolve them, consumer trust has eroded, making it a tough road ahead for the company to restore confidence in its brand.
