Ola Electric has announced a significant price reduction for its entry-level electric scooter, the S1 X, slashing prices by up to Rs. 10,000. The scooter is offered in three variants, each featuring different battery capacities of 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh. These variants are now priced at Rs. 69,999, Rs. 84,999, and Rs. 99,999, respectively. It’s worth noting that the introductory pricing for the base model is valid for an unspecified duration.
Initially launched in India in August last year with a starting price of Rs. 79,999, deliveries of the Ola S1 X were delayed until now. However, the company has announced that nationwide deliveries of the S1 X will commence from next week onwards. Additionally, all Ola S1 scooters will now come with an eight-year/80,000km complimentary warranty at no extra charge.
The various variants of the Ola S1 X offer IDC-certified battery ranges, spanning 95km, 143km, and 190km for the 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh versions, respectively. The top speeds for the latter two variants are rated at 90kmph, while the 2kWh model can reach a top speed of 85kmph. Equipped with three riding modes – Eco, Normal, and Sports – the top speed varies depending on the selected mode. Feature-wise, the Ola S1 X boasts a five-inch digital display, 34-litre underseat storage space, and two cubby holes at the front, making it a well-equipped option in its segment.
