Renault India sold 32,167 units up to October 2024

Renault India reported a sales volume of 32,167 units from January to September 2024, down from 40,020 units during the same period last year, marking a 19 percent decline. This decrease is largely attributed to softened buyer sentiment, particularly in the budget segments where Renault’s primary market lies. However, with the festival season approaching, Renault is optimistic about a potential boost in sales, anticipating a more favorable year-end tally.

Looking ahead, Renault is set to enter the premium segment in 2025, starting with the launch of locally-produced versions of the Duster and Bigster SUVs. Following these high-profile launches, Renault plans to roll out a facelift for the Kiger and introduce a new compact electric vehicle, which is expected to be an electric variant of the Kwid.

Throughout 2024, Renault has focused on enhancing its lineup with feature updates for the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber. Additionally, for the festive season, Renault introduced a limited ‘Day and Night Edition’ of the Kiger, Triber, and Kwid, capped at just 1,600 units and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This limited edition has been part of Renault’s strategy to keep customer interest high and offer unique options during key sales periods.
