Skoda Enyaq EV to make India debut at 2024 Bharat Mobility Show
Skoda is set to initiate its electric foray in India with the Enyaq EV, slated for display at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show. Marking the Czech automaker’s debut in dedicated Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), the Enyaq, a global launch in 2022, is anticipated to be a top-tier All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant with advanced features. These include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, dual-digital displays, and leatherette upholstery, sharing similarities with its counterpart, the ID4 GTX.
The Indian market can expect an impressive range of approximately 500-550km, coupled with AWD in at least one car version. The unveiling is anticipated to encompass the group’s comprehensive EV charging strategy for the nation, aligning with the impending electric era.
Initially arriving as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) unit, the Enyaq might transition to Completely Knocked Down (CKD) based on market demand. If this occurs, assembly will take place at the group’s Aurangabad plant, potentially evolving into the first MEB platform-enabled facility in the future.
