Skoda Kodiaq RS spied

Skoda is gearing up to launch a high-performance RS version of its popular Kodiaq SUV, which has now been spotted testing in real-world conditions. Earlier this year, we shared exclusive patent images confirming the existence of the Kodiaq RS, set to join the Kodiaq family soon.

The spy shots reveal key design elements of the RS variant, such as sporty wheels, RS badging on the grille, a more aggressive stance, and the prominent Skoda lettering on the rear hatch. Other notable features include chrome exhaust tips, connected tail lamps, and red brake calipers, adding to the SUV’s performance-oriented look.

While there are no interior images yet, based on Skoda’s previous RS models, we can expect details like RS-branded headrests, contrast-colored seat belts, and an upgraded instrument cluster specific to the RS range. Being a Kodiaq, this version will still retain the spacious three-row seating layout that Skoda is known for.

The RS is likely to feature a 2.0-liter TSI engine with enhanced power and torque, tuned specifically for higher performance. The RS model is also expected to come standard with an automatic transmission and 4×4 technology, ensuring robust performance on and off the road.

Previously, there were doubts about whether the Kodiaq RS would make its way to India. However, with the standard Kodiaq spotted in testing, there’s now hope that the RS version could follow. Skoda’s RS models have always been a hit in the Indian market, often brought in limited numbers and selling out quickly, making this potential launch highly anticipated.
