In a lot of Hollywood as well as Bollywood movies we have seen a dangerous road chase or escape on a narrow, curvy, edgy, roads which look quite terrible. So, does this kind of roads exist on earth? The answer is they even exist in India. Let’s find out 5 of the most abominable roads that exist in India 

Zoji La Pass

This stretch will introduce itself on a way to Leh from Srinagar. It is the most dreadful road of the country which is a major link between Ladakh and Kashmir. The road is covered in snow throughout the year and the surprisingly narrow stretch make the road more terrible. One wrong move and you will fall from the altitude of 3,600 meters.

National Highway 22

Because of its scariest turns and views, national highway 22 is also nicknamed as ‘Highway to hell’. The road is paved from the cuts of the mountain and gives you the view of frightening cliffs and tunnels ahead of you. This highway was also featured in history channel’s ” IRT deadliest road”. Due to its poor maintenance and hazardous condition very few have guts to travel through this road.

Kishtwar-Kailash Road

This route is also found in Jammu and Kashmir district. It is the one lane path so narrow that you can almost touch the mountains by waving your hand outside the window of your car. Due to its thrilling and adventurous driving experience, athlete Mick Fowler and Paul Ramsden decided to document this route while on a drive in 2013.

Kinnaur road

This road is found on the sides of river Baspa which will not hesitate to drown you if you make a single mistake on the highway. The road is narrow as well as full of overhanging cliffs and mountain holes. During heavy snowfall, the road remains closed

Gata Loops

It is the road with twenty one hairpin bends that follow one after other. Also, it is believed that the road is haunted by the ghost of travelers which were buried there after accidents. This road comes in the middle of Leh-Manali highway.
