Suzuki GSX-8R launched in India at Attractive Price of Rs. 9.25 lakh

 

Suzuki has unveiled its mid-weight sportbike, the GSX-8R, in India, priced at ₹9.25 lakh, ex-showroom. This formidable motorcycle competes with the likes of the Triumph Daytona 660, Kawasaki Ninja 650, and Aprilia RS660. It will be offered in three exquisite color options: Metallic Matte Sword Silver, Metallic Triton Blue, and Metallic Matte Black No.2.

The GSX-8R showcases Suzuki’s contemporary design ethos, featuring a compact, vertically-aligned LED headlamp flanked by elegant air intakes. The sharply defined side fairings harmonize with the robust fuel tank, culminating in a compact and robust tail section. In terms of features, it is a well-appointed machine, boasting ride-by-wire technology, low RPM assist, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, multiple ride modes, ABS, and an effortless starting mechanism.

Anchored to its robust steel diamond-style frame is a 776cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring a 270-degree crank. This powerplant generates an impressive 81.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. It is coupled with a six-speed transmission that incorporates an assist and slipper clutch. The motorcycle is equipped with a hardware suite that includes 17-inch cast aluminum wheels fitted with Dunlop RoadSport 2 tyres, suspended by Showa SFF-BP forks and a linked rear shock. For braking, it boasts dual 310 mm front discs and a single 240 mm rear disc, ensuring robust stopping power. The fuel tank has a capacity of 14 liters, while the overall kerb weight of the bike stands at 205 kg.
