Tata Motors to have 10 EVs in its range by 2025
Tata Motors is set to significantly expand its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in India, aiming to offer a total of 10 electric models by 2025. The company already boasts a diverse range of EVs and plans to introduce several new models in the coming months.
Currently, Tata Motors’ EV portfolio includes the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, and the X-Pres T. The next addition to this lineup is the Curvv EV, scheduled for launch during this year’s festive season. This coupe-SUV is expected to compete with the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti eVX, Honda Elevate EV, and Toyota’s version of the eVX.
Following the Curvv EV, Tata Motors will introduce the Harrier EV and Safari EV, with the latter having been showcased as a concept at the 2023 Auto Expo. Both models are anticipated to debut within the current financial year. Looking ahead to 2025, Tata Motors plans to launch the Sierra EV and the Avinya.
As part of its strategy, Tata Motors will first release EV versions of new models, followed by their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts, starting with the Curvv EV.
